SwapAds Plugin Installation — Step by Step

The SwapAds client plugin connects your WordPress site to the SwapAds network. Installation takes about two minutes.

System requirements

  • WordPress 6.5 or newer
  • PHP 8.1 or newer
  • A publicly reachable, indexed site (verification is part of onboarding)

Install the plugin

  1. Download the plugin from the SwapAds download page.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the downloaded swapads-client.zip file and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate.

You can also install the plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory once SwapAds is listed there. The ZIP from the download page is the same artifact.

What happens after activation

After activation, the SwapAds Setup wizard opens automatically. It walks you through license activation, site audience declaration, and verification — the complete onboarding takes about five minutes.

The plugin does not modify your existing content or add tracking to your front end. It only renders backlinks where you explicitly place the SwapAds block or shortcode.
