SwapAds Troubleshooting — Fix Common Issues
Most SwapAds issues fall into a handful of patterns. Here is how to resolve them.
No partner suggestions yet
- Suggestions typically arrive within 1–24 hours of setup. Wait at least 24 hours before investigating.
- Confirm your site is verified and indexed — unverified sites are excluded from matching.
- Check that your audience declaration is complete (niche, sub-niche, geo).
Backlinks not showing on my site
- Make sure the SwapAds block or
[swapads_backlinks]shortcode is actually placed on the page. - Check that you approved partner links — only approved backlinks are served.
- Clear your site’s cache (LiteSpeed, Cloudflare, or your hosting cache).
- If you use a page builder, hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R).
License paused
- Licenses pause automatically if a site is unreachable for more than 24 hours or when the plugin is deactivated.
- Re-activate from SwapAds → Setup — your data is retained for 90 days.
Source check fails
A failed source check usually means the target site is not indexed or not domain-verified. Check the URL spelling and confirm the site’s indexation status before retrying.
